Qualifications for Membership
- Regular Members:
Any firm or corporation regularly engaged within the continental limits of the United States in the processing (crushing) of soybeans, canola, sunflower seed, flaxseed and safflower seed for meal and oil using a solvent extraction process may become a regular member of NOPA upon the approval of the Board of Directors. The annual dues for Regular Members are determined by the Board of Directors from year to year. Historically, dues for Regular Members are based on a member’s crush volume.
- Associate Members:
Any firm or corporation which is a regular consumer of oil or meal produced from soybeans, canola, sunflower seed, flaxseed and safflower seed may become an Associate Member of NOPA upon approval of the Board of Directors. Associate Members are not entitled to vote, or to hold office or attend Board Meetings, but may otherwise participate in the affairs of NOPA by serving on standing or special committees, when and if appointed by the Chairman to render such service. Associate Members may attend NOPA’s Annual Meeting functions, excluding Board Meetings and other “invitation only” meetings associated with the Annual Meeting.
Applications for Membership should be sent to the President of NOPA:
