NOPA Welcomes Erik Janus as Director of Regulatory Affairs 

WASHINGTON, September 10, 2026- National Oilseed Processors Association (NOPA) is pleased to welcome Erik Janus to the association as Director of Regulatory Affairs. Erik will be working in tandem with NOPA and the American Oil Chemists’ Society (AOCS), whom NOPA has held a formal partnership with for more than 40 years, in this shared role to provide technical guidance to member companies of both organizations. 

Erik brings over 25 years of experience in building regulatory strategies in a variety of sectors. He has held many senior regulatory roles at Vive Crop Protection, Monsanto, and CropLife America, along with founding his own consulting firm. Erik also has a strong background in committee leadership and advocacy across federal agencies such as EPA, FDA, and USDA. 

“We are excited to welcome Erik to the NOPA team,” said NOPA President and CEO Devin Mogler. “Erik will be a great resource to our members to help them navigate a complex regulatory landscape.” 

Erik holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Maryland.
