Soybean Oil & Meal Exports
Oilseed Processing Supports the Global Economy
Today, the U.S. Soy Sector produces over four billion bushels of soybean annually. About 50 percent of that crop is exported as whole beans to various markets abroad. The other half is sent to U.S. oilseed processing plants to be crushed into meal and oil before reaching downstream markets for use in human food, animal feed, transportation fuels and industrial applications, as well as exported to foreign
markets.
